about us

thinline GBH BANNER We are husband and wife who, in the early 1980s, moved to Maine on the proverbial shoestring with our adolescent kids. thinline GBH BANNER

The Green and Blue House is a sharing of the place we discovered and made home — at least for a time.   The nature of time is such that the look and feel of the House is changing, and so it is a place in transition — as were we on first coming to Maine. We continue in transition.  A photographer and a writer are we. Our theme is Maine.  Here are images of the House, and some book news related to the state. Pull up a chair and rest here for a few moments. Anything Maine on your mind? —R. and S. Dorman

And, an apologetic  postscript:  if you leave a comment, please return to The Green and Blue House to check for an answer.  We try hard not to, but may miss a comment or two.  Then there’s also an apology for silence, hands.

A new addition to this post: The Green and Blue House will be shuttered in May 2018. (That’s the plan now.)
